What Does SPC Floor Stand for?

Choosing the perfect floor can be a daunting task. Beyond the fact that we all want something that looks good, there are other factors to consider, such as materials, cost, space, durability, your lifestyle (especially if you're buying it for your home), and many others. Whether you're buying it for your dream home or your workplace, a lot of research and a deep understanding are important to help reduce your anxiety and come up with the perfect decision.

Today, vinyl flooring is the most popular and value conscious flooring option available to owners. Premium vinyl tiles (LVT) are the first choice for consumers and the largest market share for vinyl tiles. It is a great, not to mention cost-effective alternative to natural flooring such as concrete, wood and ceramic.

If you are very picky about the appearance of your flooring, it is important to know that this type of flooring also has a similar style to tiles, but of course there is no risk of cracking. So if you're looking for an affordable, durable, scratch-free floor that's easy to maintain, vinyl flooring is definitely an option.

What does SPC floor stand for?

SPC Flooring is also known as SPC hardcore vinyl Flooring, which is the latest upgrade and improvement to luxury vinyl tile (LVT). In fact, this is considered the new trend in floor covering. It consists of 5 layers, including PVC balance layer, SPC core layer (original material), beautifully designed decorative printing film, strong vinyl wear resistant layer, and of course UV protective layer. Another option is to lay acoustic foam on the bottom to increase the sensation of soft feet when walking.

The core composition of SPC products has a much higher concentration of limestone, a lower concentration of PVC and no foaming agents, resulting in a thinner, denser, and heavier core. SPC is a rigid, strong, easy-to-install floating floor. Whats more, its 100% waterproof and dimensionally stable. The rigid characteristics of SPC meant the floor could be installed over subfloors with minor imperfections with little or no floor prep-eliminating the imperfections from telegraphing through to the surface. SPC floors could even be installed over ceramic tile floors without skim coating the grout lines.

In fact, there are three different SPC hardcore vinyl base boards.

First floor :SPC core floor

Two layers :SPC core floor + PVC balance sheet

Three layers (ABA core):PVC vinyl +SPC core floor + PVC.

ABA core is more stable performance and, of course, better foot feel. However, we remain positive about the basic physical properties, as the material ONLY is made from original materials. This means that either one or three layers shrink less and swell more lightly than other vinyl flooring, such as LVT flooring, which is loosely laid.

There is an equalization (video bellows), which explains the expansion rate of a specific SPC rigid core vinyl base plate, and you can get an idea of how excellent it is.

In addition to being more durable than traditional vinyl flooring, SPC hardcore vinyl flooring is indentation resistant and 100 percent water resistant, perfect for kitchens and bathrooms. Also, please note that SPC rigid core vinyl flooring can be easily installed on different types of floor foundations.
